The job market event held in Kokkola on March 12 gathered around one hundred visitors and proved to be a successful event.
The event showcased a wide range of the city’s services and opportunities for job seekers and students:
• The TAITE training programme, produced within the Synclusive project, attracted significant interest. Many visitors took brochures about the training and asked for more details on how to apply.
• The CV clinic’s appointment calendar filled up quickly, indicating strong demand and popularity for the service.
• A highlight of the event was the “strengths cards” and the AI application based on them, which suggested suitable professions to users based on the strengths they selected. Many participants gained interesting insights into their own skills and how those could fit various job roles.
• A health care specialist for unemployed people answered questions about well-being and health from the perspective of job seeking.
• Experts in integration services were visited by many attendees with immigrant backgrounds.
• Local training institutions provided information on training opportunities as well as assessments of skills and professional competence.
• There was also expert guidance available for those interested in entrepreneurship. At the business services stand, visitors received clear advice on the recommended steps for starting a business and information on available support.
• Several third-sector organisations were present, highlighting the opportunities they offer to job seekers and those interested in volunteering.
According to the organisers, one of the best outcomes of the event was the networking between different actors. These kinds of encounters strengthen regional cooperation and support the development of job search and employment services.
