As part of the project’s mission to empower vulnerable youth through inclusive digital upskilling, a targeted interventions were implemented combining technical training with employability support. The initiative focused on bridging the digital divide by equipping participants with both practical digital creation skills and job market readiness tools.
3D Modeling & Printing Course
One of the key components was a 3D Modeling and Printing Course designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of the 3D design and digital fabrication in a practical and beginner-friendly format.
Participants learned the basics of 3D object modeling, engaged in design thinking and prototyping, and acquired the skills needed to prepare files for 3D printing. The course also explored real-world applications of 3D printing focused on the needs of blind young people. Emphasis was placed on hands-on learning, creativity, and problem-solving.
Workshop on Digital CVs
To complement the technical training provided in the 3D course, several participants also took part in a Workshop on Digital CVs, which focused on enhancing employability and personal branding in the digital age. This workshop guided participants through the process of creating professional CVs, while also introducing them to the importance of maintaining a strong online presence in professional networks.
The sessions included best practices for structuring CVs suited to tech and creative roles, along with opportunities for peer review and individualized feedback. This component directly supported the project’s pillars of self-preparation and self-efficacy, empowering participants to confidently present their skills and experiences to potential employers, internships, or educational opportunities.
Workshop on Teamwork and Leadership Skills Development with VR
As part of ongoing efforts to enhance both digital and soft skills among young people, the Portuguese project partners conducted an immersive workshop titled Teamwork and Leadership Skills Development with VR.
In this session, participants engaged in simulated leadership and teamwork scenarios using virtual reality technology. Through role rotation, real-time problem-solving, and reflective exercises, they developed a deeper understanding of their communication styles, decision-making approaches, and collaborative effectiveness. The workshop was facilitated by Professor Agnes Jenei and contributed to the project’s broader goals of holistic youth empowerment through experiential learning.
