2ND REALIST EVALUATION TRAINING IN FINLAND 20TH OF MARCH

The research partners of SYNCLUSIVE project met each other in a Realist Evaluation follow-up training in Helsinki in March 2024. The goal of the training was to deepen the understanding of this qualitative evaluation method which aims to clarify why certain interventions work (or do not work), for whom, in which circumstances, how, and why.

The research partners first explored how the Living Labs overlap each other. Based on these findings, the “big picture” of Living Labs, summarizing the shared general and intervention-related contextual factors, and mechanisms, such as skills and motivation, as well as intermediate and ultimate outcomes across Living Labs, was formulated. Moreover, general guidelines for conducting the realist interviews were discussed and agreed.

This informative and intensive training empowered the research teams to take the next step in planning the interviews.

The SYNCLUSIVE project wants to thank you Suzanne van Hees (PhD) for supporting us as a trainer and FIOH for being our host team.
