TOWARDS A MORE INCLUSIVE FUTURE: SYNCLUSIVE PROJECT GAINS MEDIA RECOGNITION AND INSPIRES COMMUNITIES

On March 25th, 2024, at Palácio das Galveias, in Lisbon, the digital magazine “Business and Science Networks” was launched by Rede do Empresário, under the responsibility of Professor Maria José Sousa, from ISCTE. This initiative served as a bridge between academia and industry, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.

The magazine’s inaugural edition featured two insightful interviews, one with Irene Houtman, the scientific coordinator of the SYNCLUSIVE project, and another with Professor Maria José Sousa, the national Portuguese coordinator of SYNCLUSIVE. These discussions shed light on the collaborative efforts driving impactful research and development, to bridge gaps in the labour market for vulnerable groups. The material is available in both English and Portuguese language.

Professor Bernardo Miranda, Vice-Rector of ISCTE and part of the SYNCLUSIVE national research team presented the SYNCLUSIVE project during the event. Attendees from both academia and industry participated in discussions, highlighting the magazine’s potential to facilitate interdisciplinary dialogue and partnerships.

The launch of “Business and Science Networks” marked a crucial step towards fostering synergy between academic research and industry practices, promising to be a catalyst for innovation and progress within Portugal’s intellectual and business landscapes.
