Professor Maria José Sousa from ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa was a keynote speaker at the 19th WCCI International Education Conference from Feb 11-16, 2024.
The conference theme was “Transforming our World: The Role of Education in Global Sustainability.” During her presentation titled “Reshaping Education for a Sustainable World,” Professor Sousa discussed the urgent need to adjust educational practices to address sustainability challenges, highlighting SYNCLUSIVE project as a vehicle for this transformation.
Professor Sousa’s insightful presentation emphasized the vital role of education in creating a sustainable future. Her ideas and dedication inspire educators and policymakers worldwide to prioritize sustainability in their practices and policies.
19th WCCI International Education Conference was attended by around 60 people, among them educators, scholars, and advocates, from the fields of Education, Social Justice, Environment Sustainability and Educational technology, from Portugal, Hungary, Turkey, India, the United States of America, the Dominican Republic, and the Philippines.
