The National Insurance against Accidents at Work is an Italian public institution with the following main objectives:
– reducing the incidence of work accidents,
– provide insurance coverage to workers involved in activities that the law identifies as risky;
– ensure return to work and reintegration into working life of those injured at work; and,
– carry out research activities in the field of prevention and safety.
Protection of workers’ health is based on an integrated system, which includes the study of occupational risk factors; the development of interventions in the workplace; provision of health and economic services, care, rehabilitation and reintegration into social and working life of injured or ill workers.

Role in the project

INAIL is a reflecting partner, tasked with the integration of the findings of the Living Labs to conclude on generalized and Living Lab specific findings. Inail will also controbute to providing policy recommendations, policy indicators and (policy) standards for the implementation of interventions for inclusion of vulnerable groups in the labor market
