In a testament to global collaboration, Professor Maria José Sousa, the Portuguese national coordinator of the SYNCLUSIVE project at ISCTE, participated as a keynote speaker at the 10th International Conference on Future and Technology with Sustainable Development. Organized by Kyiv National University of Ukraine on February 24-25, 2024, the online conference attracted a diverse array of global experts and thought leaders, receiving endorsement from the United Nations and conducted in collaboration with Tradepreneur Global Research Organization.
Professor Sousa’s keynote, titled “AI Research in Industry and Services – Emergent Skills for the Future of Work,” showcased the SYNCLUSIVE project. This collaborative effort aims to bridge employment gaps, fostering a more inclusive labor market for vulnerable groups and promoting social inclusivity and sustainability. The presentation highlighted the project’s commitment to addressing evolving demands, with a focus on emergent skills for the future of work and an overview of its objectives, methodologies, and potential impact on Europe’s labor market.
The 10th International Conference on Future and Technology was attended by over 40 people, mostly researchers and scholars, from the fields of technology, marketing, management, education, and more, from Malasia, Portugal, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Vietnam, India, Ukraine and China. The virtual conference format facilitated active engagement from a diverse international audience, offering valuable insights into emergent skills’ role in shaping a sustainable and inclusive future. Emphasizing the imperative to integrate inclusivity and sustainability into technological advancements, discussions centered on addressing global challenges and ensuring equitable progress. By uniting experts and organizations globally, the event fostered meaningful discussions on the intersection of technology and sustainable development, particularly focusing on AI research in industry and services.
The spotlight on the SYCLUSIVE project not only highlighted the critical importance of collaborative efforts but also addressed specific challenges and opportunities for the future of work.
